Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. What this page covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Zafre Media, the trading name of AL UMA ALRAQAMI COMPUTER SYSTEMS DESIGN (trade licence no. 1183327, Dubai, United Arab Emirates) ("Zafre", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on zafremedia.com, what each one does, and how you can turn them off.

It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally, and our Terms of Service. It does not cover the websites we build for clients once those clients run them — each of those has its own policy.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. On your next visit, the browser sends it back, so the site can recognise your browser and remember things about it.

We also use technologies that work like cookies without being cookies: pixels (a tiny invisible image or snippet of code that reports that a page was loaded), local storage (data kept in your browser rather than in a cookie file), and software development kits inside embedded tools. Where this page says "cookies", it means all of these.

Cookies set by us under our own domain are first-party. Cookies set by another company whose code runs on our page — Google, Meta, LinkedIn — are third-party, and that company can read them when you visit other sites that use the same code. A session cookie disappears when you close your browser; a persistent one stays for a set period.

3. Why we use them

  • To make the site work — to serve pages, keep a form submission secure, and remember your cookie choice.
  • To understand how the site is used — which pages people read, where they arrive from, where they leave.
  • To measure and target our advertising — to see which advert led to an enquiry and to show our adverts to people who have visited us.
  • To let you book a call with us from inside the page.

4. Your consent

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work are set without asking, because the site cannot function without them and no consent is required for them.

Everything else — analytics and advertising — is only set after you agree. When you first visit, a consent control asks you to accept or decline them. Until you accept, those technologies are not loaded. You can change your mind at any time, and declining them does not stop you using the site.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to decline advertising cookies and as a valid opt-out of "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under US state privacy laws, for the browser that sends it.

To change your choice at any time, use the Manage cookies link in the footer of this site.

5. The cookies and similar technologies we use

5.1 Strictly necessary — set without consent

  • wf_csrf, .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* — Set by: Webflow (our hosting platform). What it does: Protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery, so a form on our site cannot be submitted from somewhere else. Type and duration: First-party, session.
  • __cf_bm, cf_clearance — Set by: Cloudflare, via our hosting. What it does: Distinguishes people from automated traffic and protects the site from abuse. Type and duration: Third-party, up to 30 minutes / 1 year.
  • Consent preference cookie — Set by: Our cookie consent tool. What it does: Remembers the cookie choice you made so you are not asked on every page. Type and duration: First-party, up to 12 months.

Webflow does not place tracking cookies on the sites it hosts. The cookies above exist so pages load, forms submit safely, and your own choice is remembered.

5.2 Analytics — only with your consent

  • _ga — Set by: Google Analytics 4. What it does: Distinguishes one browser from another so visits can be counted. Type and duration: Third-party, 2 years.
  • _ga_* — Set by: Google Analytics 4. What it does: Keeps the session state for our specific property. Type and duration: Third-party, 2 years.
  • _gid — Set by: Google Analytics 4. What it does: Distinguishes browsers over a short window. Type and duration: Third-party, 24 hours.
  • _gcl_au — Set by: Google. What it does: Stores and reports which advert click led to a conversion. Type and duration: Third-party, 90 days.

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from. We have IP anonymisation and Google's data-retention limit in place, and we do not use these cookies to identify you by name. Google's own use of the data is described in its privacy policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across every site with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5.3 Advertising and measurement — only with your consent

  • _fbp — Set by: Meta (Facebook, Instagram). What it does: Identifies a browser so Meta can measure our adverts and show them to relevant audiences. Type and duration: Third-party, 90 days.
  • _fbc — Set by: Meta. What it does: Stores the click identifier from a Meta advert so the resulting enquiry can be attributed to it. Type and duration: Third-party, 90 days.
  • bcookie, bscookie — Set by: LinkedIn. What it does: Identifies a browser and secures LinkedIn actions on our page. Type and duration: Third-party, up to 1 year.
  • lidc, li_gc — Set by: LinkedIn. What it does: Routes requests and stores consent for non-essential LinkedIn cookies. Type and duration: Third-party, 1 day / 6 months.
  • UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory, li_sugr — Set by: LinkedIn. What it does: Synchronises advertising identifiers and builds audiences for our adverts. Type and duration: Third-party, 30 to 90 days.

We advertise our services on Meta and LinkedIn. These technologies tell us which advert produced an enquiry and let us show our adverts to people who fit the industries we work in.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some US state privacy laws, however, letting Meta and LinkedIn set these technologies can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or as "targeted advertising". You can stop it by declining advertising cookies in our consent control, by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, or by writing to hello@zafremedia.com. Section 10.2 of our Privacy Policy has the detail.

5.4 Functional — the booking embed

  • Scheduling session cookie — Set by: Our scheduling provider. What it does: Keeps your booking session working while you pick a time, and remembers your time zone and the details you entered. Type and duration: Third-party, session to 12 months.

If you book a call from a page on our site, the booking is handled by our scheduling provider inside that embed. It sets its own cookies and receives the details you type in, under its own privacy policy. If you decline its cookies, the embedded booker may not work and you can email us instead.

6. How to control cookies

On our site. Use the Manage cookies link in the footer to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies, or to change a choice you already made.

In your browser. Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. The settings are under Privacy or Cookies in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and each has its own help page. Blocking all cookies will break parts of most websites, including ours.

Browser-level opt-out signals. Most browsers send a Do Not Track header, which has no agreed meaning and which we do not rely on. We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal, which browsers and extensions can send and which carries a defined legal meaning in a number of US states.

With the providers directly.

  • Google Analytics — the opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google advertising — your Google Ads settings.
  • Meta — the advert settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • LinkedIn — Settings → Data privacy → Advertising data.
  • Industry opt-out pages — youronlinechoices.eu in Europe, optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org in the United States. These set an opt-out cookie, so they stop working if you clear your cookies.

Opting out of advertising cookies does not mean you stop seeing adverts. It means they stop being chosen based on your visit to our site.

7. Changes to this page

We update this page whenever we add, remove or change a tool that uses cookies. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we add a technology that needs your consent, we will ask for it again before loading it.
